Adult Placement

Adult Placement is a well established model of support where individuals who require stability and support in their lives are supported in the homes of other community members. It provides accommodation, together with support, counselling, mentorship and other practical help for vulnerable adults within the homes of families or individuals, who are assessed and accredited by the recruiting organisation.

Our Carers support people on a long and short-term basis, for short breaks throughout Scotland and to access activities on a day to day basis. We have supported people with learning disabilities, older people and people with dementia through our Adult Placement services.

Anyone who wants to purchase support from PSS Scotland Adult Placement can do so by filling out our PSS referral form which can be found on the links menu to the left of the page. This can be emailed, faxed or posted to our Kirkintilloch Office. Once we receive the referral, one of our Project Workers will call you to make arrangements to visit you at your home when it is most convenient to yourself. During this visit, the Project Worker will inform you of the support that we can provide.

If you decide to choose one of our services, we would begin our matching process, where we match you with an Adult Placement Carer who can best support your needs and wishes. Referrals can also be made by your GP, Social Worker/Care Manager, a family member or a friend.
