We've Added The Google +1 Button to the Website

The +1 button is shorthand for "this is pretty cool" or "you should check this out." Click on the +1 button at the foot of each page to publicly give the PSS Scotland website your stamp of approval. Your +1's can help friends, contacts, and others on the web find the pages you think are useful when they search.

To use the +1 button, you'll need to have a Google Profile and be signed into Google when browsing the website.

Please note that this function is currently still in development with Google and at the moment, does not display the +1 button if you are using the Safari browser, or a browser based on Safari such as Dolphin browser for Android mobiles. We're sure that Google will address these issues in future releases.

For more information, please visit the Google +1 webpage here.

Introduction to the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme
(PVG Scheme).

PSS Scotland News - PVG Scheme

In February 2011, the Scottish Government introduced a new membership scheme that replaces and improves upon the current disclosure arrangements for people who work with vulnerable groups. Anybody who wishes to work with PSS in a role providing regulated work, such as Support Worker, or Self-Employed Carer will have to join the PVG scheme before being able to work with PSS.

Further information can be found by visiting Disclosure Scotland's website - www.disclosurescotland.co.uk. Information will also be provided at the time of applying to work with PSS.
